French Horn Lessons with Dr. David Denniston - Oakland County, Michigan

Private Lessons

Students may opt for lessons of either 30, 45, and 60 minutes.

30 minute lessons ($30) – appropriate for beginning students.

45 minute lessons ($40) – appropriate for advancing students (middle school, high school etc. with at least a year of previous instruction).

60 minute lessons ($50) – appropriate for advanced students, adult students, or any student focusing on audition preparation and requiring intensive study.

Your first lesson is free of charge! See Scheduling page for more details.

I offer a limited number of scholarships (reduced tuition) each year to students who demonstrate exceptional ability and would otherwise be unable to afford lessons due to economic hardship.

Tuition is paid monthly, on or before the first lesson of each month. I accept cash, personal checks, and Paypal payments. To pay via PayPal please visit the Payments Page here.

Group Lessons ($20.00 per student)

30 minute group lessons for beginning students can be arranged if three to four students are available at the same time each week.  I am willing to hold this group lesson at your school if your band director can coordinate a mutually agreeable time.

Master Classes, Clinics, and Sectional Rehearsals ($75 per hour)

These services are offered to help improve horn players in your program. Whether your students require a review of playing fundamentals, help with extended techniques, or someone to run a sectional rehearsal, I will be happy to discuss your needs and give you specific details on ways I can help improve the performance of your horn section. All materials included.

For sectional rehearsals, please send a score(s) for all music to be rehearsed at least one week prior to the rehearsal.  Electronic files (PDF) are preferred.
